Ohio Wedding Minister

We thought we should tell you a little bit about our selves, why we started this ministry and what we do.

 Fr. Stephen Ayotte, is ordained by the Old Catholic Church and is a Priest. Rev. Melanie Ayotte is an ordained non denominational minister and was ordained by St Luke Evangelical Christian Church. Rev Melanie and Fr. Stephen are married and have two daughters. They are pastors of Holy Angels & Saints Old Catholic Church in Columbus, Ohio.

When our daughter began planning her wedding we began to realize that there was a great need for wedding ministers.  Many couples do not have a specific church affiliation, or they do have a church affiliation and their clergy person is unable or unwilling to work with the couple on the choices they want for their ceremony. 

We believe that every couple should have the opportunity for the ceremony of their choice regardless of beliefs or religious background. With the encouragement of our daughter, our family, and the approval of the church trustees, we decided to start offering our ministerial services  to couples throughout Ohio that needed a minister for their ceremony, whether they were members of Holy Angels & Saints Old Catholic Church or not. We offer the wedding ministry to all couples in Ohio.

We give couples the freedom of how their ceremony will be without directives from a church & giving it the dignity it deserves, regardless of religious affiliation including those who have none. 

What do you want to say to your beloved on the day you begin your lives as husband and wife? Whatever it is, we will help you create it.

We will perform not only Christian traditional ceremonies, but contemporary ceremonies, Inter-Faith ceremonies, blending of families, Catholic, religious, civil, spiritual and secular ceremonies. You may wish to add a memorial, sand, wine, unity candle or other reflection of your relationship to your ceremony as well.  It is your ceremony.

Our goal is to help couples create a memorable and beautiful beginning to their married life. Each ceremony is unique to the couple. You will participate in creating the ceremony script you want. We will provide you both with as much or as little assistance as you desire. We do this because we believe that marriage ceremonies should reflect the personalities and beliefs of the couple and what they want to say to each other as they begin their married lives together.

Part of the unique nature of creating the ceremony you want is that we will conduct the ceremony at the place of your choosing, ie. outdoors, in your home, in a church, at our church or other venue. We travel throughout the state.
