We booked our honeymoon through active travel with Jeanie. We didn't feel very special with this company because they have so many customers apparently that they can't keep track of who has already booked with them. After booking our honeymoon we were contacted 3 times, as if we were a new customer to see if we wanted to book our honeymoon. When we did book we were told to go with a certain type of room, which was a good $1200 more then the regular room. So because Jeanie had recently been there and showed us all of her pictures we trusted her and went with the upgrade. When we arrived we thought we were in the wrong room, so come to find out we were and they moved us. When we got to the new room it was the exact same just on a different floor. So we looked in the catalog and found out the only difference was that the upgraded ($1200 addition) room had a view of the beach.... both rooms have a view of the ocean and the pool. So we were not happy that we paid $1200 for a view of the beach.. which was still not a clear view. We feel we were misled to spend more and apparently get more commission for Active Travel.

My experience with Active Travel was horrible. They often took up to a week to respond to my emails, they did not know answers to questions when my guests called to book, they distributed incorrect information to my guests and made the experience incredibly difficult. They weren't even offering prices that were competitive over third party sites like Travelocity or Expedia. Horrible, I have no idea how they're in business.
