I am the mother of the bride. When we went to visit Cake Dots, she was so sweet and helpful. When my daughter described the cake she wanted, Dottie asked questions until she felt like she understood, and then sketched the cake - it was perfect! When everyone came to the reception, everybody was amazed at how beautiful the cake turned out. It was absolutely gorgeous, and it tasted even better! I cannot say enough good things about it. If I could give her a 10, I would! Thank you, Cake Dots - you made my daughter and son-in-law very happy on their special day!

Here is THE premier Ohio cake designer and decorator, in my estimation. Dottie dreamed up a gorgeous chocolate cake with white icing and a gorgeous cascade of handmade fondant (most edible) autumn leaves. The cake was beautiful, gorgeous and very tasty. We saved the top tier for our first anniversary celebration and it's nestled in our freezer, per Dottie's directions. She thought of Every Thing. We thank her and you will too! Just check our her website. Oh, she did a beautiful, scrumptious lemon flat cake (also w/leaves) for our rehearsal dinner. Yum! We all just devoured it! I forgot to mention the handmade fondant sea shells...we ate them too, from both cakes...Wow! She's a 6 out of 5!!

I am a Mother of a Groom. We used Cake Dots for our local reception, as the actual wedding and reception were in Arizona, and we wanted to provide a celebration for our people, here. I found Dottie to be friendly, very easy to work with and attentive to detail. Purple is a difficult color, and she executed it quite well. I got raves about the flavor of the icing and the moistness of the cake. It really put the "big cake" in AZ to shame. (Sorry, kids.) Be happy about her phone restrictions, as this cake was fresh and yummy and the actual wedding cake in AZ was almost crisp!! I will use Cake Dots again if the need arises.

The cake tasted wonderful! But the design of it was nothing that I wanted. I gave her my only picture of the cake I wanted, and it was nothing like it. I wanted flowers trailing down the side, and messy buttercream icing. The icing was smoothed out, and she did some little bubble thing around each layer? And there were like 4 flowers on it. I provided at least a dozen flowers for her.. She picks up if you call between her hours, but she doesn't have any voice mail or email.. She was very felxible when I called 3 weeks before the wedding and ordered 7 dozen cupcakes, which turned out awesome. When her husband delivered the cakes to the site, he was very rude and short with my groom... For her being one of the top rated, I expected for her to be in a bakery, but she works out of her trailor, which contains 2 long haired cats that jump up on the tables and stuff.. we didn't find any cat hair in our cake tho. :) She's expensive, but it did taste great! Hope this helps.

Our cake was amazing! It was beautiful and delicious. We had chocolate with chocolate ganache (botton layer) and white with strawberry filling (middle layer). We got so many compliments on the taste and look of the cake. We couldn't have been happier with it!

Cake Dot was the first vendor we looked into and I knew we had to pick her. She was super funny and sweet. Her flavors were to die for and we ended up picking Snickerdoodle(bottom tier) and White Almond(middle tier). Our cake turned out AMAZING. It looked just like the picture I had given her. We got a lot of compliments on it al night long. Her pricing is the best around town. My husband and I got back from our honeymoon a week ago and decided we couldn't wait a year to eat the top piece so we dove right into it! You will have an awesome experience and cake if you choose Dot!

Cake Dots made the cakes for our daughter's wedding and they were most delicious! We not only served 4 tier cake, but a wonderful groom's carrot cake with cream cheese icing as well. The white cake with white butter cream icing was excellent as was the yellow cake with chocolate ganache filling. Dottie and her family are wonderful to work with and I highly recommend them!

Our cake was delicious! All my guests loved the cake and many said it was the best cake they've ever had at a wedding! Dot was so friendly and easy to work with. We weren't sure what to think when we met with her in her home, but she delivered a beautiful product! The cake decoration didn't look quite like the photo I had provided, but it was close enough. We asked for a very simple design and provided flowers to decorate it ourselves. They delivered and set up the cake on time without any problems. Overall I would choose Cake Dots if I had to do it all over again!

When we first walked into our reception and I saw our cake sitting there, I had to catch my breath.
It was more beautiful than I imagined and WAY out did the magazine photo we took to Dottie for sample of what we wanted.
The flavor was fantastic. The icing tasted great. The look of it was so extraordinary!
We later heard that guests we vying for more and trying to guess how many thousands we spent on the cake! ;-)

If you want a creative cake that looks like what she plans - Cake Dot is yoiur lady! I have received more comments on my wedding cake than anything else at my wedding. It was PERFECT and exceeded our expectations. If I had to make the choice again it would be simple. And cannot wait until other family gets married in Columbus to have her cake again!!

This was the most beautiful and delicious wedding cake I have ever had. I wish I could share photo's with you so you can see what she does, but if you look at her website, mine is 699! I LOVE it!!

Dottie with Cake Dots in Columbus, Ohio created the most gorgeous wedding cake for our wedding on June 6, 2010.
She made a off white three tier cake in the shapes of hearts that was surrounded with gorgeous flowers that I brought in to her. She is incredibly artistic!
The cake was so beautiful I just can not explain it in words, I have several pictures that I would love for everyone to see so that they can see how beautiful my cake was.
Not only was the cake beautiful but the taste was heavenly! Never should you sacrifice beauty for taste and this cake HAD IT ALL! The cake was so moist and every guest at our wedding shared compliments on the cake and wanted to know who made such a fantastic cake!
For a small amount you can also have the cake delivered so that on your big day you do not have to worry about a thing-BELIEVE ME IT IS WORTH IT!
You had incredible beauty, great taste, affordable pricing, delivery, and a consultation which equals one VERY happy bride.

I was literally brought to tears looking at the beautiful cake Dot had made for our wedding! Every detail of the cake was perfect and so much more than we could have imagined! All of our guests kept saying we shouldn't cut the cake because it was so pretty! :) Not only was the cake gorgeous but the cake tasted heavenly! Can't wait to eat the frozen portion on our anniversary! I will definetly be calling Dot again if I need a birthday cake or any other occasion cake! Thanks Dot!

Cake Dot was the first vendor we looked into and didn't need to go any further. Honestly, I loved her sense of humor and honesty the most. She is very funny and down to earth, which was nice to have during a stressful time of planning. She is very knowledgable in her profession and her pricing could not be matched. As for the cake, absolutely amazingly beautiful and so delicious. My groom and I, along with all of our guests we very pleased with the cake. So yummy. You can't go wrong with Cake Dots, I promise you that.

The moment I decided to call cake dots and spoke to them I felt like I had made the best possible choice for my wedding cake. When it was time to set up a consultation they were very accomodating with her samples of cake flavors. She will be honest with you by telling you what would work best but still keeping in mind what you want. Cake Dots not only met but far exceeded my expectations(which are very high). We loved Cake Dots wedding cakes! Dot helped us figure out the dimensions of our cake and also offered helpful suggestions to give our wedding cake a little extra sparkle, such as...glitter frosting!!! Our 3 tiers of White, White with Raspberry and Snickerdoodle cake were scruptious. I saw many guest going back for 2nds.
In addition to our traditional wedding cake, Dot and Tad also created a 3 foot statue of our Chocolate lab, Jordan. It was the talk of the reception! It totally exceeded our expectations. It was our WOW factor and the cake was heavenly,also. It was an extremely moist chocolate cake with a peanut butter filling... YUM-MY!
We had a wonderful time working with Tad and Dot and are looking forward to working with them in the future!

Cake Dot THANK YOU! My daughters wedding was held in Columbus Ohio (2009), but we live in Houston Texas, so alot of details had to be left to "strangers". However, after flying in to meet with you and tasting your wonderful cake, I knew that was one thing I didnt have to worry about. Not only was the cake everything we hoped for (and that says alot because my mother was a caterer and her cake was our "familys standard") it was so much more. In fact we loved it so much that I just ordered a Baby shower cake with 15 extra servings! Thank you again The Lortons
