The Darby House was the best decision we made in planning our wedding. Not only was the venue just perfect to reflect our personalities but the staff just made our day absolutely magical. I would recomment Darby House to anyone who is getting married.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Darby House in August 2011 and were amazed how perfectly everything went. It was absolutely amazing! Our dream wedding come true. We got married on the picturesque patio in front of the Darby Creek before celebrating in the Racing Room, one of the two large banquet style rooms inside the Darby House. You can't go wrong with the location because it has everything you'd want for a beautiful outside ceremony. We didn't even need to decorate the outside for our ceremony because the scenery was beautiful! For the reception, we chose a brunch style buffet which was prepared to perfection by Cameron Mitchell and which tasted amazing! The staff was remarkably attentive and friendly, and the service was great. One thing that was particularly outstanding about our experience at the Darby House was the planning and organization beforehand. Our wedding coordinator was Mike Redcay, and he was there whenever and wherever we needed him. From the planning phase to the cues during the ceremony and reception, he did an amazing job while keeping us calm throughout this stressful process. The Darby House was always our first choice and we could not imagine having our wedding anywhere else. We would recommend it to everyone looking for an outstanding wedding venue. The Darby House was the perfect selection for our wedding. The staff was AMAZING! Kate was our event coordinator, and was on top of everything - she made me feel like I didn't need to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding, and I trusted her completely. The catering staff was also amazing - they all learned my name, and were so sweet. The setting was picture perfect, and all of the guests felt at home while they were there.

We couldn't have picked a more beautiful location! The Darby House sets the perfect scene and mood for a stunning wedding and reception. The staff was amazing as well! The Darby House is a hidden gem!

We were so happy we chose the Darby House for our ceremony and reception venue! The location overlooking Darby Creek is simply beautiful, and the House itself fits in perfectly with it's natural surroundings. Driving in through the gates and down the tree-lined driveway is a wonderful entrance for such a special occassion! The food (Cameron Mitchell) was great - I had so many guests tell me it was the best they had had at a wedding! Brooke Dowler was the representative that worked with us, and she was wonderful! We felt so taken care of the entire day. She acted as our coordinator so we didn't have to hire someone else to take care of the details. We planned an outdoor ceremony, but Darby House has the flexibility to move the ceremony indoors if the weather doesn't cooperate. I highly recommend the Darby House to any bride who is looking for an elegant alternative to the typical hotel ballroom reception!

The Darby House was extremely accomodating to all of my "must haves" for the wedding. Brooke was our coordinator and she was perfect in helping us achieve an amazing wedding. The Darby House is on the Batelle-Darby Creek amidst gorgeous nature views. The windows are floor to ceiling and can give you an outside nature feel while still having indoor comforts. Everyone adored the location. On the wedding day itself, everything was taken care of perfectly so we didn't have to worry one bit. I also disapproved of the vegetarian options initially BUT I did a private tasting with Brooke and asked her to have the chefs make up a cheese/mushroom ravioli which turned out to be so delicious that I am depressed that I will never have it again. Our wedding turned out better than I could have imagined thanks in large part to the wonderful staff at the Darby House. Also, ALL of the vendors we used are GLBT friendly.

As the Mother of the Bride, you can imagine that my expectations were high. I wanted my daughters day to be Her day. Her enjoyment and relaxation were a priority. The Darby House was all I expected and needed them to be and more! Mandy and the entire staff worked very hard to make everything run so smoothly! And let me say-the food was amazing! The value is priceless - I walked away feeling very cared for and treated with the utmost of professionalism.

OUTSTANDING!!! The most beautiful place to get married in Ohio hands down. Everything was perfect and we would not have changed a thing. The entire Darby House staff was so wonderful and Kate was awesome we love her. We feel so lucky to have had our wedding at such a beautiful place. It truly is breathtaking. We are sad it is over. Everything was more than we could dream of. Kate was amazing! Before, during, and after the wedding and reception the were nothing but perfect. Everything was set up and ran on time. Any questions we had or assistance we needed was taken care of before we needed it 110%. I could not have asked for a better staff to take care of our wedding day. The setting is perfect, the boat ride was loved by the guests and everyone thought the horse and carriage was like a fairy tale. Not to mention the chocolate martinis. This is a wonderful place and wonderful staff for the wedding every bride dreams of.

This place was a dream come true! The ladies (Arlene and Kate) were MORE than helpful and always available for me. My husband and I had to change plans in a bit of a crunch because of schooling/moving issues and they were able to accommodate us completely. The grounds are wonderfully maintained, no matter the season. The catered brunch with a cocktail hour prior to were lovely. The tables and stations for the brunch were gorgeous. They even provide a liveried carriage to transport guests from the parking area to the actual building. My cost estimate was actual a little on the high side, as we ended up with fewer in attendance than originally thought. The only things I had to do for myself, other than the invitations, were arranging the minister, cake, and photographer. They did, however, have lists of vendors that were all wonderful, they just didn't quite meet what my husband I required personally. If you need a place that is all-inclusive and headache-free, this place is AMAZING!

The Darby house was such a beautiful location. We ended up not spending much more than was "required" in our contract, but it looked like a very expensive wedding. My only complaint is that I feel that the coordinator that we were matched with did not have much experience putting together the wedding. She was very kind, but I did not find her very knowledgeable. Also, for our food tasting, we were unable to taste any vegetarian food (bride and groom both vegetarians); even though it was voiced that we wanted to try the vegetarian options. This I feel was the fault of our coordinator. The food was fine, overall.

We were looking for a full service vendor, with a great setting. That's exactly what we found at the Darby House. Set just 25 min from downtown columbus, this is a jewel, hidden in the woods with the Darby creek running along the venue. The Event Planner was wonderful to work with during the planning, but was not great during the ceremony. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone.
