Susan was great! I loved the food and received several compliments. The wood fire oven is such a neat idea and really added a special touch.

Faire la Cuisine did a beautiful job on the food, everything was wonderful! We had so many compliments for them from our guests. They were very accommodating to last minute changes, flexible with food creations, and they worked really well with my budget. The whole staff was so nice, very professional and helped us with all the preparations and tear down. I could not have asked for a better fit for myself and my family, and would highly recommend to anyone!

In planning my wedding, I worked with many vendors and had no trouble with any of them - EXCEPT Faire la Cuisine. I tried repeatedly to nail down a menu with the caterer and she repeatedly told me that we would deal with it later - repeatedly I was told that the week before the wedding all of her efforts would be directed to me and my wedding. Even in a meeting one month before the wedding, she would not work out a final menu with me. It came to 10 days before the wedding when our 50% deposit was due that I was only able to reach my caterer by telephone as she was out of state. She had her computer with her, but had not entered any notes from our most recent meeting and could not remember anything we had talked about. When it actually came to the week before the wedding, the week I had been promised would be focused on me, I was blown off again. I was told that there was a "big author" coming to the caterer's studio and that she did not have time for me. My only other issue with this caterer was that I felt that she did not make enough food for our guests. We told her to make enough for 180 guests and in reality we only had 150. We had repeatedly told her that we would prefer to have too much food than not enough and it still looked like we were running out. I was not pleased that the final guests coming to the buffet line were looking at a picked over buffet line when I had purposefully inflated the guest count to prevent this. I was also upset with the communication with this caterer. We had hired a wedding coordinator and when I offered her the coordinator's number she would not take it. Later when my coordinator contacted this caterer, she did not return her phone calls. After the wedding, she also attempted to over-charge us by $500. When her error was pointed out to her, she was less than apologetic and I fear that if we hadn't been more diligent about our bookkeeping that we would have overpaid.To be fair, the food tasted very good. Unfortunately, when I think about this vendor, all I can think about is how much stress she added to my wedding planning and how unhappy I was with her at the end of the day. She repeatedly made me feel that I was last on her list. When you are planning a very important event like a wedding, there is nothing that feels worse than thinking that your vendors do not think that it is as important as you do.
