Pearls and a Black Dress Makeup Artistry

I have the type of skin that absorbs makeup in a short time. By lunch, you can't even tell that I have anything on! This time I decided on hiring a professional makeup artist....and not one from those overpriced salons who have messed up my makeup in the past! I chose to try the airbrushed makeup and absolutely loved it! My makeup lasted all day and night - even with all the crazy singing and dancing at the reception. Branda was so sweet and great to work with! She took her time during the trial run to make sure everything was perfect and to my taste. If I ever have another formal event I will definately use them again!

Stacie was great!! She was so much fun and when we got our pics from our photographer, I couldn't believe how wonderful we all looked. I was an "older" bride with younger attendants and everyone (including my sisters) was so pleased with the exceptional job she did.

Robbie did an amazing job on all 5 of us! 3 of us were not used to wearing makeup on a daily basis and Robbie was able to create beautiful looks for all of us.The airbrushing really smooths out your face and one of my bridesmaids had her tan lines on her shoulders evened out! They also provide fake lashes for anyone interested, they are not bulky and fake looking either. Robbie added lashes on the ends to make a fuller look. My husband didn't even notice I had them on! Everyone had their own look created with the help of Robbie, and everyone was given some lip touch up for the evening. It lasted throughout the night even with all of the hot weather, sweating and crying! I would definitely recommend them to everyone I know!

I was so pleased with my make up the day of my wedding. I had myself, my bridesmaids and my mom get our make airbrushed on and I couldnt believe what a difference it made. Stacey was great!! You can just tell in my wedding photos how great it was and it stayed all day and night. Working with Pearls and a Black Dress was so easy and I couldnt have asked for a better day. It was so stress free because she came to where we were getting ready and we didnt have to travel to get our make up done. I will and have recommended their service to many others.

This was fun and make up perfect! She travels all over Ohio to do this and not for much extra money. She definitely knows what she is doing and the air brush technique is a MUST if you are doing your wedding in the hot summer months and have to be outside much.

I had a terrific experience with Kellie from Pearls and a Black Dress! She did my makeup along with my three bridesmaids and my mother and mother-in-law, and we all loved our makeup. It lasted all day even through intense humidity. Kellie was very friendly and professional. She made my day more relaxing and beautiful. I could not have had a better makeup artist, she was the best!

The make up artist was awesome. She was professional and patient. She had to wait a few minutes for us to get to her from getting our hair done. She did not only a great job making me feel beautidul on my wedding day, she did the same for my mom and the girls in my wedding party. She gave me the confience that I needed to get through the day knowing that I was going to be one of two people that everyone would be focusing on. Thanks for doing such a great job.

I hired Pearls and a Black Dress to do makeup for me, my maid of honor, and my mom for my wedding day. I admit that they are a little expensive, but it was completely worth it! Robbie was our makeup artist. She was always on time, friendly, and professional. She knows what she is doing but also listens to what type of makeup you like and you are comfortable with. One of the best parts of this makeup company is that they come to you. It is just one less place to worry about being on your wedding day. Robbie came to my house to do all of our makeup and it was so relaxing to be able to be at home and chat with my bridesmaids while doing it. Plus, it was great knowing that I was in good hands. I knew if I had a blemish or bags under my eyes or something, Robbie would be able to cover it up. So it caused me to worry a lot less about how I would look on my wedding day. I also like that they do a free make-up trial for the bride a couple months before the wedding so that you get to know your artist and know exactly how your makeup will look for the big day. When I first thought of using Pearls and a Black Dress I worried it would be too much money to spend, but it was worth every penny. I would definitely recommend them to any bride who wants to look gorgeous and not have to worry on her wedding day!
