St. Michael Catholic Church

We are parishioners, so choosing St. Michael's was a no-brainer for us. However, I highly recommend it even for non-parishioners, for many reasons:* It is a beautiful church and little to no decorating is necessary. We had one large vase of flowers up by the ambo, and some flowers on the rails outside the church - that is it, just a couple of little touches to make it feel different from a regular mass, but nothing to eat up our budget (which we wanted to save the bulk of for the reception). And our pictures inside are gorgeous! Also, St. Mike's has the longest aisle in the diocese - which gave me plenty of time to take in all our guests and my husband waiting for me at the end and just truly be in the moment. :)* The church has a new organ that sounds rich and wonderful, a very talented (and affordable) organist in Ron Barrett, and several talented (and affordable) cantors for hire. Melanie Day was ours, and she is AMAZING. So many of our guests commented on her voice - her singing was a highlight of our ceremony.* The grotto is a great place for some post-ceremony pictures. Or you are only a mile up the road from the Worthington village green, a great place for pictures(that is where we got engaged and consequently had our engagement pictures taken - our bridal party pictures were taken another mile up the road at the Josephinum with their beautiful grounds and architecture for a backdrop).I highly recommend St. Michael's if you are looking for a traditional Catholic wedding mass in a beautiful photo-friendly setting - you won't be disappointed!
