Universe Bridal was amazing to me, they helped me find my perfect dream dress even though I had to come back four times before I actually found it. If you want an amazing experience and someone who is very patient and helping, ask for Charolette (spelling?), she was the sweetest and most energized bridal consultant I could have asked for and remembered who I was and what I was looking for each and everytime I came back. I will say, that there was ALOT of mistakes in my orders, but everything was quickly worked out and fixed to how I wanted it. My bridesmaids dress bows were ordered in white and they all came in the same color as the dresses, but they sent them out immediately to a local seamstress and had the bows fixed at their cost. The bows werent very nicely attached and were lose in spots but I was happy because they were the color I had wanted, the bridesmaids dresses were all about a size to small and every girl had to have their dresses altered, the groomsmans tuxes were all a little small and several had to be sent back, but this was done and ready within one day, and the usher's vests came in the wrong color and I didnt even notice until I looked back into pictures that they were in the total wrong color (I was way too wrapped up in other things that day lol). However, I would say all-in-all, Universe does strive to make the bride the happiest she can be and if you have a complaint or dont like something, they fix it immediately. The price is a little high, but its a bridal boutiqe and that is to be expected of a hands on store like they are. I got all of my bridal parties outfits and everything from there and overall, I was pleased! :) Charolette (spelling?) YOU AREA AMAZING!

My first two visits were amazing. I had a great time trying on dresses and the staff was so attentive to my needs. Well after I bought a dress there it was down hill from there. When I went to pick up my dress and try it on I literally had to hunt someone down 3 times, because the first 2 times the woman forgot about me. It took me almost an hour and a half to PICK UP MY DRESS. If you can deal with the service the prices just cannot be beat.

I have so many complaints. We purchased two dresses for our daughters for prom. Total of $895.00 plus $25.00 for alterations. When we went to pick up the dress, they could not find one of them. It took 30 minutes and they thought it was funny. After driving two hours to get there I did not! Then we take the dress home, open it up and realize the sequins that were suppose to be replaced were not done. I called, and the lady told me to go to Jo Ann Fabrics and buy some to put on myself. I was ticked off, but did it. Then my daughter tries on the dress and the alterations were not done correctly. I called the lady and she admitted to the problem that the seamstress had messed up the first attempt and had to do it again, but still refused to do anything about it or make it right. I finally yelled and argued enough that she agreed to send me a check for the $25.00 alteration fee, and then added that it was my fault for not picking up the dress sooner! Ummmm, when you offered me lay-a-way and I pick it up three weeks earlier than its due to come out, how can you even begin to make this my problem!!!! The most unprofessional staff of people I have EVER dealt with. Save your money for someone who truely deserves it! In this economy people need to spend their money with companies who actually care about their customers!!!!!!

Out of this world selection, a great place to take your special ladies to help you find your dream wedding gown. The staff is incredibly helpful, the dresses are beautiful and I am certain there is something there for everyone. I have a very eclectic style and I found my dress that received a ton of compliments on our big day. There are RACKS upon RACKS of dresses to choose from, not like the upscale "boutiques" that only carry the latest (and most expensive) styles of the season. Universe Bridal carries top of the line dresses right alongside the dresses for the budget conscious bride. Well worth the drive in the country for this AWESOME experience! I had a horrible experience with this company. As far as selection of gowns, they do have a wide variety at a pretty decent price. I found a gown there that I loved, but when I went to order it, after four attempts at ordering this gown, to this date, I still do not have the correct gown. The designer they ordered through sent me a sample dress instead of a brand new one, even though we paid the full price for a "brand new" dress. When we realized the problem, the associates ignored the complaint and pretended to take care of the issue. When we called back, the "new" dress was in--- which was supposed to be a brand new dress. It was the exact same dress as before-- the wrong size, the satin lining was not aligned with the lace-- therefore the dress looked like it was sideways on me. When they said they were ordering a new one, AGAIN we drove two hours to get there and we had the same exact issues. Currently, I am told that they are, once again, re-ordering this dress to the correct size. When I was in the salon today, I was told the new dress would be in in a week or two. Once I drove back home, I received a phone call telling me it won't be in until August 20th which is three months from now. I began shopping there in February. This is going to take me over 6 months and four "re-ordered" dresses to finally have one in stock. And who's to say this one that comes in will even be the correct dress? The manager of the store is very rude. She was brought into the room to look at my dress and told us it was our fault, ignored what we had to say about the dress, interrupted our explanation, and completely walked away. When we asked to speak to the manager later, we were told she had "stepped out" of the office. The associates there will not take any of your complaints seriously. It takes at least 5 or 6 times of repeating yourself for them to acknowledge anything. Basically, if everything doesn't turn out perfectly when you first order the dress--- RUN. They will not help you. And if they pretend to, it WILL NOT be done correctly.

Good selection and price for dresses, overpriced accessories..........HORRIBLE EVERYTHING ELSE. The staff is not interested in helping you at all. There are what appears to be 50 people working, but no one will help you.They expect a deposit and payment in full before a certain date they arbitrarily pick out, but can not give you a date as to when the dress will be in.After that, they sent home the wrong dress, after we drove over an hour to get the correct one, they thought it was very funny. We didn't. Do yourself a favor and don't give them a penny. They don't appreciate your business.

Universe has the best selection of dresses and the best pricing! No one in the Columbus or Cincinnati area can compete with the pricing at Universe!!! Trust me, I called everyone! Wendy’s Bridal wanted $400 more for the same dress and wasn’t able to match the price Universe was offering. Universe even gave me an additional discount on my dress because my bridesmaids bought their dresses through them as well. I was also very happy with my Bridal Consultant. She didn’t pressure me to make a fast decision or to make a purchase the first time we came in like Wendy’s did. My only complaint is that we ordered my dress one size too small. We made it work in the end, but my consultant should have told me I needed the next size up instead of letting me make the decision.

I had a wonderful experience with Universe Bridal. It was well worth the drive from Columbus and I ended up going twice. I went with my mother and sister and I loved that we were free to browse and try on dresses on our own. I didn't feel pressured to hurry up and pick one, which is great for a slow shopper like me. (Bridal consultants are available, too.) We recharged at the diner connected to the store, which has great hamburgers! Universe Bridal has a huge selection of dresses, very reasonable prices, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. They were always quick to return phone calls. When the gown came in, they shipped it to me in Columbus (for about $10) so I didn't have to drive back out to pick it up. (Note: They don't have alteration services at the store.) Great store for people looking for a one-of-a-kind dress on a budget.

They were so HORRIBLE to work with!! They are completely unprofessional and unhelpful. I have so many complaints I don't even know where to start. There is NO way I would ever buy from them again no matter how good the price.

My wedding dress was a floor model so I got it at a discounted price. They were very helpful and they let us put it on layaway. We also got a tiara there with red gems in it, when my wedding colors changed they wouldn't let me return or exchange the tiara. That was the only problem I had with them.

Universe bridal was an excellent bargain boutique. I got a gorgeous, off-the-rack dress that I adored for. Service was so friendly, attentive and not at all pushy. Bonus: there was a winery across the street where my mother in law maid of honor and I could take a lunch break during our 6-hour marathon. They do push expensive extras, like my crinolines cost $50 when I know darn well I could get them for $10 online. They also cut the labels out of their dresses, which is a little shady as it totally prevents comparison shopping, but at $199 for my dress, I didn't personally need to comparison shop.

I had visited other well-known bridal shops and received inconsistent service, bad advice on going up almost two sizes larger than necessary before altering, etc. When I first visited Universe Bridal, it was a breath of fresh air. They were in the middle of prom season, yet still attended to my every need, personally brought out gowns, assisted with trying them on, and gave real advice I could use. The prices were exceptionally great and they didn't once try to push me out of my budget just to increase their sale. The personal attention helped my wedding plans go smooth and really made me feel like a princess! :)

The dresses were very affordable! All bridesmaid dresses that were ordered came back quickly and the correct size. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Huge selection at great prices! People thought my dress cost $5000+ when it was less than a 1/5 of that price! The staff is wonderful - remembers your name, the names of the people you're with, etc. Despite being located in the middle of nowhere, it's well worth the drive!

I bought my wedding dress here after my initial plan of having my wedding dress hand-made by a colleague fell through. At first I was skeptical but after only an hour of trying on dresses I found one that I loved and looked almost identical to the dress I planned on having made. Because of my time restraints I had to buy a dress of the rack. It required no major alterations however after trying the dress on a few times the zipper needed replacing. Half of the wedding dress part of the store is HALF OFF the listed price which was wonderful. I wound up with the dress of my dreams for only $250.

I was very satisified with The Universe. They were very helpful! They spent a lot of time working with me to find my perfect wedding dress as well as my bridesmaid dresses. They also worked with me on the price of my dress and my veil.

My only criticism on this vendor is I was picking out my wedding dress during prom season. The ladies were paying more attention to some of the girls going to prom than me. A wedding should have priority over prom. Other than that the service was great. They were very helpful!

This is a great store for finding all of your bridal needs. I had a wonderful time picking out my dress, and the dresses of my party. They had great prices that everyone was happy with. Their hours and staff were also very helpful with everything. One of my bridesmaid dresses was ordered incorrectly; however, they quickly fixed the problem with no trouble to me.

This place is a gold mine for someone who is looking for a relatively cheap dress but still wants to be beautiful. The selection is enormous, and they have a wide variety of discontinued and clearanced dresses as well. I found a gorgeous dress here that I fell in love with for only $300. Also, they let you make payments on the dress directly to the store. Super flexible!

I got everything I needed at Universe. They were very helpful.
