Veil Artistry

One of my brides shared an experience that expresses my philosophy. She commented that her married friend had counseled her to devote more time and attention to the selection of her bridal headwear. Her friend had not done so and only in hindsight realized that the veil and headpiece are far more than just accessories...

* Surprisingly, the veil is often the one, single item of apparel that truly makes a bride feel like a bride! We may think the gown holds the key to feeling like a bride, but many brides will confess that only when they put on their veil did the bridal magic truly envelope them.

* She also realized that while the bridal gown is on display and admired at the wedding ceremony, later, in the photographs the gown's details are often lost and in many close-up photos,much of the gown is not shown at all. What is recorded for posterity and seen in all photos are the bride's radiant smile and shining eyes framed by a diaphanous veil and beautiful headpiece.
